Ghost Dance
At the Wounded Knee Massacre in 1890, the U.S. Army killed more than 150 Lakota Native Americans.
The Ghost Dance was associated with Wovoka's prophecy to end the white man’s expansion out West by claiming to protect those practicing the dance from the power of the white man’s bullets.
