by allowing our governments to torture him, so
that his pain and suffering may be a warning to
others who may choose to share any facts, which
would inform the public that those we have
elected are corrupt, dishonest killers.
They hide behind a mask, which we allow them to
wear so as to avoid our own guilt for the
destruction and carnage they inflict on our
brothers, our children, and the very future of
our species.

"What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, little by little, to being governed by surprise; to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if the people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
