Constituents must speak up so Congress will prevent war

By Letters To The Editor

May 27, 2019 "Information Clearing House" -Word is that Congress chooses not to move more assertively against war-making because members don’t hear from their constituents on the matter. If this is a fact, we have only ourselves to blame for not standing up to yet another preposterous decision to go to war.

It’s time every citizen got outraged and picked up the telephone and urged our representatives to make stopping war with Iran an urgent priority.

National Security Adviser John Bolton is trying to drag us into yet another disaster. The fact is Congress has the constitutional authority to stop him. It is up to we the people to make Congress do the right thing and oppose war with Iran. The idea of yet another needless war is reprehensible.
